What is Being trusted: our code?
Our ethics code guides how we do things in BT. It helps us to make the right decisions – whether we work for, with, or on behalf of BT. Acting with integrity has never been more important for a global business like ours. We need to do things the right way, every time, without fail – because customer trust is at the core of a successful and sustainable business. We strengthen BT’s reputation every time we stick to our ethics code.
We all have a responsibility to do the right thing. If you have a question or a concern about wrong-doing, even if you’re not sure, please get in touch.

What does the ethics code do?
Being trusted: our code is designed to help people do the right thing. It contains easy-to-understand information about how to act with integrity, in what can sometimes be challenging business situations. For example, it explains what to do if you have a conflict of interest, if you're offered a bribe or if you're unsure about something you've seen that causes you concern. The code covers different situations you might encounter at work – such as using social media, protecting customer data and health and safety at work - to explain the risks and what to do to protect yourself, our customers and BT.
